First Trust Debuts Nasdaq-100 ETF With Gains in Up or Mild Down Markets

First Trust launched the FT Vest Nasdaq-100 Dual Directional Buffer ETF (DQJN), a target-outcome ETF that uses FLEX options tied to the Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ). The fund seeks to capture Nasdaq-100 gains up to a 21.35% cap over its June 2026–June 2027 outcome period, while also generating positive returns if QQQ declines by up to 10%. If losses exceed that threshold, investors receive a 10% downside buffer before participating in further declines.
