Fidelity Investments Canada has launched the Fidelity Global Quant Equity ETF (FGQE) on the Toronto Stock Exchange, offering actively managed global equity exposure through a systematic, data-driven investment process. The fund invests primarily in companies worldwide and is intended as a diversified core equity holding. Fidelity’s quantitative platform draws on more than 200 investment professionals, supported by over 270 technologists, to evaluate large datasets and identify opportunities that may be less visible through traditional fundamental research. FGQE expands Fidelity’s Canadian ETF lineup as assets across the firm’s ETF business reached $41 billion as of September 10, 2026. Fidelity positions the strategy as a cost-conscious alternative for investors seeking active global exposure without relying solely on discretionary stock selection.
