Defiance Launches AI Infrastructure Bond ETF Targeting Tech Debt

Defiance has launched the Defiance AI Infrastructure Bond ETF (AIBN), offering exposure to corporate debt issued by companies involved in artificial intelligence infrastructure. The fund tracks the MarketVector US Hyperscalers and AI Bonds Index, which allocates 48% to bonds issued by Amazon, Microsoft, Alphabet and Meta, with each receiving a 12% weighting. Up to 20% is allocated to compute infrastructure and AI companies, including Oracle, CoreWeave, IBM, OpenAI, Anthropic and SpaceX, while at least 32% targets semiconductor infrastructure companies. Eligible bonds must have at least $1 billion outstanding and remaining maturities of three to 30 years. Both investment-grade and high-yield bonds qualify. The index is reviewed monthly and uses issuer and bond-level caps to manage concentration, although the ETF remains focused on technology-related credit risk.
