BMO has launched the BMO MSCI Latin America GDP Weighted Index ETF (ZLAT) and ETF Series units of the BMO Core Bond Fund (ZCRB) and BMO Emerging Markets Bond Fund (ZEMB), with all three beginning trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange on October 8. ZLAT tracks the MSCI EM Latin America GDP Weighted Index, covering large- and mid-cap stocks in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. Country weights reflect economic size using GDP data, giving investors a different allocation from the market-cap-weighted parent index. ZCRB provides exchange-traded access to a core Canadian bond strategy investing primarily in government and corporate debt. ZEMB offers diversified fixed-income exposure to emerging markets, seeking income and capital growth. The bond listings are new ETF Series of existing mutual funds, while ZLAT is a standalone index ETF offered in Canadian-dollar units.
