ARK Proposes Orbital Data Centers ETF Targeting Space-Based Computing

ARK Investment Management has filed for the ARK Orbital Data Centers ETF, an actively managed fund targeting companies developing infrastructure for data processing and computing in space. The strategy will invest in businesses supporting the emergence of orbital data centers, including satellite operators, launch providers, space-infrastructure developers and semiconductor and cloud-computing companies enabling computing systems in orbit. The fund seeks exposure to the potential expansion of computing infrastructure beyond Earth as demand for AI processing grows. Investments will primarily involve total return swaps referencing relevant companies, complemented by direct equity and potentially private investments.
