AllianzIM Adds October ETF to International Uncapped Buffer Suite

Allianz Investment Management has launched the AllianzIM International Equity Buffer15 Uncapped Oct ETF (OCTI), expanding its International Uncapped Buffered ETF lineup to four funds. OCTI provides developed international equity exposure through the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF (EFA) while seeking to buffer the first 15% of losses over a 12-month outcome period beginning October 1, 2026. Unlike traditional capped buffer ETFs, the strategy offers uncapped upside after investors overcome a predetermined spread, allowing additional participation if EFA rises sufficiently. The fund is designed for investors seeking international diversification with some downside protection while retaining greater upside potential. OCTI joins AllianzIM’s broader buffered ETF platform, which draws on the firm’s in-house hedging and risk-management capabilities.
