Virtus Investment Partners has filed for the Virtus High Dividend ETF (VDIV), an actively managed fund combining a relatively low-turnover U.S. dividend portfolio with regional rotation across Europe, Japan and Asia ex-Japan to capture dividend payments. At least 80% of net assets would be invested in dividend-paying equities, with approximately 100–150 holdings. Sub-adviser Virtus Systematic uses behavioral finance and machine learning to rank more than 3,500 securities daily, followed by qualitative review and risk analysis. Managers generally aim to hold positions for at least 61 days to support qualified dividend treatment, although this is not guaranteed. The strategy also seeks capital appreciation.
