VanEck Cuts EMBX Fee to 0.65% as Emerging-Market Bond Interest Grows

VanEck has reduced the total expense ratio of the VanEck Emerging Markets Bond ETF (EMBX) from 0.76% to 0.65%, effective September 30, 2026. The actively managed ETF invests across emerging-market sovereign and corporate bonds in both hard and local currencies. VanEck said the fee cut comes as U.S. investor interest in emerging-market debt improves amid a weaker dollar, diversification demand and stronger fiscal and monetary conditions in parts of the developing world. EMBX returned 4.67% annualized over the five years through August 31, versus 2.29% for its blended benchmark, and 5.16% annualized over 10 years versus 3.07% for the benchmark. The strategy is managed by VanEck’s Emerging Markets Fixed Income team, led by Eric Fine, which oversaw about $804 million as of August 31.
