Russell Investments has launched the Russell Investments Multisector Bond ETF (RINK), offering actively managed exposure to global fixed income. The fund normally invests at least 80% of net assets, plus investment borrowings, in bonds and fixed income equivalent instruments, including derivatives. Its investment universe spans corporate and government debt, emerging markets, high yield, mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities, and bank loans. Russell Investment Management oversees sector allocations and portfolio construction, working with an unaffiliated money manager that selects securities for its assigned assets. The strategy places no investment limit on below-investment-grade and distressed debt, or on foreign-currency and emerging-market securities. It can also use derivatives for long and short positions, potentially increasing total investment exposure beyond portfolio value.
