REX Shares has launched the REX Peptide ETF (PEPT) on Nasdaq, offering exposure to the broader peptide industry beyond leading GLP-1 drugmakers Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk. Tracking the VettaFi Peptide Index, the fund invests in companies involved in peptide-based drug development, manufacturing, medical devices, supplements and skincare. The index held 36 constituents as of September 30, with 52.9% allocated to U.S. companies and 47.1% to international firms. Its methodology requires at least 80% of index weight to be allocated to pure-play peptide companies, with concentration limits to support diversification. The launch comes amid growing demand for GLP-1 treatments and expanding applications in cardiovascular disease, oncology and other therapeutic areas. PEPT carries an expense ratio of 0.65% and becomes REX’s third thematic ETF, following its drone (DRNZ) and AI chipmaking (CHIP) funds.
