Macquarie Asset Management has launched the Macquarie Core Australian Bond Active ETF (ASX: MQFI), bringing its Australian active ETF range to 10 funds. MQFI invests predominantly in Australian-dollar bonds, targeting regular income, portfolio diversification and returns above its benchmark. Its 0.09% annual management fee is paired with a 20% performance fee on cumulative benchmark outperformance, subject to a high watermark. The launch comes as Macquarie Subordinated Debt Active ETF (ASX: MQSD) surpassed A$1 billion in assets around 19 months after its February 2025 debut, highlighting growing investor demand for Macquarie’s active fixed-income ETFs.
