iShares has updated the prospectus for the iShares Broad USD Floating Rate Loan ETF (USLN) to add the fund as a borrower under a syndicated line of credit administered by Bank of New York Mellon. USLN may use the facility temporarily for extraordinary or emergency purposes, including meeting redemptions or facilitating the settlement of securities and other transactions. The fund does not intend to borrow to leverage its portfolio. The prospectus also adds borrowing risk, noting that borrowing can amplify changes in NAV, increase expenses through interest and fees, and potentially force the fund to liquidate positions at unfavorable times to meet its obligations.
