GraniteShares has filed for the GraniteShares Global Shipbuilding ETF, an actively managed fund targeting companies involved in commercial and naval shipbuilding, offshore vessels, ship repair, marine propulsion, and related equipment and services. The ETF will invest at least 80% of its assets in qualifying companies, with expected exposure to South Korea, Japan, Italy, and the United States. The strategy excludes shipbuilders headquartered or listed in China, including Hong Kong and Macau. The fund will invest across at least three countries, limiting exposure to any single country to 40% and generally allocating at least 40% to non-U.S. companies. It may use total return swaps to access foreign shipbuilders, particularly South Korean firms without U.S. listings. Holdings will be weighted using a modified market-cap methodology, capped at 25% per company, and rebalanced at least quarterly.
