Brinsmere Files for Flexible Balanced ETF Targeting 60/40-Like Risk

Brinsmere Fund Management has filed for The Brinsmere Fund – Balanced ETF (TBFB), an actively managed fund of funds targeting a risk level broadly comparable to a traditional 60% equity and 40% fixed-income portfolio. The fund will invest primarily in ETFs and other exchange-traded products spanning global equities, bonds and diversifiers such as gold, commodities and managed futures. Under normal conditions, it generally allocates at least 20% to equity exposure and at least 20% to fixed income, without maintaining a fixed asset mix. Multiple proprietary quantitative models will guide investment selection and allocations using indicators including momentum, valuations, volatility and credit conditions. Managers will allocate capital among strategy components and may override model signals in unusual or stressed markets. Exposures can shift materially over time, potentially generating frequent trading.
